All-Star Nickelodeon Original Movie ‘Swindle’ Premiere Date Announced

Nickelodeon has announced the official premiere date for their forthcoming original TV movie Swindle. The 90 minute caper will air on Aug. 24, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The movie will include an array of the Nickelodeon stars that include Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande from the freshman series ‘Sam & Cat’; Noah Crawford and Chris O’Neal of ‘How to Rock’, actress Ciara Bravo from ‘Big Time Rush’ and ‘iCarly’ star Noah Munck. The movie is inspired by the children’s book of the same name from writer Gordon Korman.

“Swindle is the perfect end-of-summer movie, a fast paced comedy the whole family will enjoy,” Russell Hicks, Nickelodeon’s President of Content Development and Production, shared in a statement. “Fans will delight in seeing some of their favorite Nickelodeon stars unite for one awesome action-packed adventure.”

‘Swindle’ will feature the well known stars teaming up to take down a con artists that has tricked Griffin (played by Crawford) out of a million dollar baseball card that could have saved his best friend’s (O’Neal) home. In an effort to get it back, Crawford and a gang of friends (McCurdy, Grande, Bravo and Munck) from school plot for the card’s safe return to its rightful owner. The adventure will see the gang dressing up in comical disguises with a pie fight face-off part of the fun.

The original movie is now available for pre-order on iTunes. ‘Swindle’ will also be available for download on Amazon August 25, as well as platforms; Xbox Video, PlayStation Store, Samsung Media Hub and Vudu. ‘Swindle’ comes from writer Eric Freiser (Road to Ruin), Bill Motz (Brandy & Mr. Whiskers) and Bob Roth (Lion King 2).
