‘Veronica Mars’ Dad Enrico Colantoni to Star in Canadian Medical Drama ‘Remedy’

Flashpoint - Sgt. Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni)

American audiences know actor Enrico Colantoni best as Keith Mars, the cool dad from the cult classic and fan favorite TV series ‘Veronica Mars’ and even more viewers know him for his role of Sgt. Gregory Parker from the Canadian cop drama ‘Flashpoint’. Now, viewers will get to see a new side of Colantoni as he has landed a role in the much-anticipated Canadian medical drama Remedy that will air on Global Television. He will play Dr. Allan Conner, a passionate, committed and slightly eccentric father and doctor who is Acting Chief of Staff of Broadview Hospital.

‘Remedy’ is a unique, high-stakes medical drama that goes beyond the operating room and the ER, to reveal a compelling community of hospital staff who make the healing happen. The series follows Griffin Conners, son of the Chief of Staff, brother to both a surgeon and a nurse, and now – medical school dropout. Having been kicked out in a haze of disgrace, Griffin is forced to return to Broadview Hospital as its newest orderly, where he gets a new perspective on a world he thought he knew through a colorful cast of cleaners, project aides, transport workers and more.

Colantoni has this to say about his new show, “Remedy is a complex and funny world with rich characters and relationships. Plus with Greg Spottiswood (series creator and showrunner) and Bernie Zukerman (executive producer) leading the charge and being reunited with Kelly Makin and Adam Barken…I’m a happy guy”.

Among Colantoni’s other credits are the box office film ‘Galaxy Quest, a recurring role on ‘Person of Interest’ and a guest stint on ‘Warehouse 13’. He has most recently appeared in the mini-series ‘The Kennedys’ and the box office thriller ‘Contagion’.

‘Remedy’ will begin production on September 30, but no official airdate on Global Television has been announced yet.
