Royal Pains Season 5 Review “Chock Full O’ Nuts” – Nesting on the Brain

Royal Pains Season 5 Episode 7 Chock Full O Nuts (9)

In this episode of Royal Pains, called “Chock Full O’ Nuts,” Divya has nesting on the brain, Jeremiah needs to learn to relax, Evan and Paige have their first big spat as a married couple and Hanks troubles grow as Milos does something unexpected.

Well, things didn’t go quite as smoothly with Divya moving into Jeremiah’s house. I knew he was particular about stuff, but I kind of thought that his undying love for her would overcome petty little things like her putting a plant in his living room. In fact, I was so not expecting that scenario, that when Divya opened her door to find her things outside, I actually thought for a minute that Jeremiah had put them there as a (very creepy) present. It was totally appropriate that she would be in nesting mode and you’d think Jeremiah would get that. But she did say that her place would be ready in a few weeks so hopefully everything will get back to normal between them. I’m just not enjoying the idea of her living there. It’s too weird, knowing how Jeremiah feels about her and all.

Paige and Evan’s little spat was cute, but also an important moment for them both. She may have come from money, but Paige had to learn that she needs to check in with her husband on large purchases. But at the same time, Evan needed to learn that he wasn’t completely in charge of the budget either and sometimes his wife would want to buy things that he didn’t understand. I loved how they made up over ice cream while doing their budget.

Hank’s negotiations with Symphony are taking a lot longer than I would’ve predicted, but it did open up an interesting storyline between Ken and Shelby. Though how she can possibly be with a guy who is that much of a d-bag, I’ll never know. My nickname is Shelby and I just feel like she’s giving all of us a bad name. Anyway, Hank mostly played doctor (and referee) in this one, but in the end we finally saw a little tick on the Milos story. So Milos has disappeared? Something tells me that he’s going to end up at Shadow Pond and that’s when things are going to get really exciting.

My favorite bits..

Jeremiah putting the milk back and then straightening it. OMG that is so something my mom (and okay, me too) would do.

Evan muttering about Milos being a big, fat murderer.

“Who is he talking to?”
“It’s Keller, it could be his mom.”

Sorry, but I think Ken totally got what he deserved. Talking on your cell phone during a spin class is beyond rude.

A shot in the jaw? Youch.

“Dorian gray, that paint never gets old.”

“It’s. a nice. box.” – I am so with Evan on that. A red box? Really?

Finding out that Paige spent money out of their nest egg without talking it over with Evan. Oops.

“I would buy you a copy of Art for Dummies, but I don’t think you’d understand it.”

Evan bringing up the fact that Paige didn’t really have a job, she had an unpaid internship. Okay, that was kind of cold.

The stare-down Hank gave Keller when he suggested using Shelby’s illness against her. Seriously, can’t Hank find a lawyer who’s not an absolute a-hole?

Evan and Jeremiah bonding over women.

Divya and Greer practically getting into a wrestling match when she started choking. Wow, that was scary.

Paige repeatedly pushing the tub of ice cream away.

The look on Jeremiah’s face when he saw his kitchen.

Poor Divya thinking she was a nightmare of a guest.

“Good talk, Div.”

Hank in the spin class. That is all.

“I didn’t know they made Spanx for men.”

Well it was all fun and games in the spin class until the instructor collapsed and had to be rushed to the ER.

Evan buying the red box for Paige.

“Are you comparing our piece to Lucky Charms?” – Dang it, now I want Lucky Charms.

Finding out that Evan spends more on skin care products than Paige.

Hank finding out Boris’ guys had lost Milos. Uh oh.
