The Sundance Channel Reveals Cast Of ‘The Honourable Woman’

The Sundance Channel has released the cast line-up for their newly acquired eight part mini-series The Honourable Woman from writer and director Hugo Blick. Set to take the lead role is actress Maggie Gyllenhaal (White House Down), who will play the titular character, Nessa Stein.

Also on board the thriller is actor Stephen Rea (The Shadow Line), who will portray an M16 spy close to retirement, Lindsay Duncan (The Hollow Crown) is set to play his wife while Janet McTeer (Damages) is in the role of Rea’s on-screen boss. Andrew Buchan (The Fixer) is set to portray Gyllenhaal’s brother alongside Katherine Parkinson (Sherlock) in the role of his pregnant wife.

Eve Best (Nurse Jackie), Lubna Azbal (Body of Lies), Tobias Menzies (Game of Thrones), Genevieve O’Reilly (Spooks), Igal Naor (300: Rise Of An Empire), Martin Hutson (A Very British Sex Scandal), Nicholas Woodeson (Skyfall), Raad Rawi (The Devil’s Double), Richard Katz (Enigma), Philip Arditti (John Carter), Rupert Frazer (Empire of the Sun), Paul Herzberg (My Week With Marilyn) and George Georgiou (Mamma Mia!), all round out the stellar cast, among many others.

‘The Honourable Woman’ is will bow on the Sundance Channel in both the US and on BBC Two in the UK sometime in 2014. Production is slated to take place in the UK and Morocco.
