Fox’s ‘Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey’ Trailer Takes You to Space and Beyond

Fox and National Geographic have teamed up to bring the 13-part docuseries Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey to life, and the sweeping, mesmerizing trailer previews the ambitious project. Cosmos is a follow-up to Carl Sagan’s groundbreaking 1980 PBS series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, and will be hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

The trailer is a mix of real-life footage, computer animation and impressive traditional animation that comes together to create a truly epic picture of the world and the space beyond. The project seems more fitting for PBS, but perhaps having Fox air the project will gain it more exposure, and lead to the networks offering up more educational (and cool) programming in the future. Check out the trailer, which debuted at Comic-Con, below.

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey will premiere Spring 2014 on Fox and The National Geographic Channel.
