‘Maron’ Season 2 Announced


The IFC network has ordered a second season of the comedy series Maron. The network’s president and general manager Jennifer Caserta has called the show a :perfect representation of IFC.” Adding that the series’ star Marc Maron “seems to be in need of a less dysfunctional family, so we’re happy he’s returning to ours for an expanded second season.”

Marc Maron is the creator, writer and executive producer of the show that follows both his professional and personal journey as a comedian in the world of showbiz. Season one feature’s Maron’s ups and downs with his estranged father Larry (played by Judd Hirsch), his new relationship with his girlfriend Jennifer (portrayed by Nora Zehetner) and his assistant Kyle, played by Josh Brener. IFC has ordered 13 episodes with the series’ second season set to bow sometime in 2014.

Mark Maron has previously been seen in ‘Adventure Time’, the FX network comedy series ‘Louie’, ‘Metalocalypse’, ‘Sleepwalk With Me’, ‘ A Bad Situationist’, ‘Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist’, ‘Stalker Guilt Syndrome’, ‘The Life and Times of Tim’, the TV series ‘Pilot Season’, the big screen feature ‘Almost Famous’ and more.
