Franklin & Bash Season 3 Review “Freck”- Practical Jokes Aren’t Always Funny

Franklin & Bash

In this episode of Franklin & Bash, called “Freck,” Jared and Peter are put on a murder case and must defend a good friend, while Damien gets dirty to help some people who really need it.

This review is a bit late as I was at Comic-Con last week interviewing casts from a bunch of great shows like Psych, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and many more. Check out all of our Comic-Con coverage here.

The guys getting a case that revolved around two pranksters was a great way for us to see some fun pranks, all in the name of justice, of course. It’s just not an episode of this show unless Jared and Peter are getting in trouble for something and I loved that it was for pulling an awesome prank against the opposing attorney. What better way to show how violent a person can get about a prank than to do one on them?

I thought it was great that Peter finally got to meet Charlie’s daughter Tess, but what was even better was the fact that she basically bonded with Pindar. That’s not something I would’ve expected and to be fair, it’s not like he tried to make friends with her, they just have a lot in common. The fact that Pindar has a lot in common with a young girl is hilarious and I can’t wait to see more of their interaction. I hope Peter gets to know her a little better, too, since he is a nice guy and I’m sure she’ll realize that if her mom doesn’t decide to move away forever.

Damien’s story was great because it forced him to get his hands dirty and possibly throw away his shot at a judge’s chair. But the fact that he did what needed to be done despite the threat to his career is just another one of those reasons why I love him. Sure, he’s a jerk sometimes but underneath it all, he’s got a lot of integrity. Plus, it’s pretty obvious that he enjoys winning – no matter what the circumstances.

My favorite bits..

“Why would they finger paint in the kitchen?”

Jared telling Peter to come back to the kitchen so he could “get to know” the blood.

“I’m not sure which Constitutional amendment covers the right to a beer.”

Spotting the Comic-Con poster in Robbie’s living room. That totally made me giggle.

“I always thought I’d make a good gang member, minus the violence.”

“It’s where my intern buys the stick in my ass.”

Peter telling Damien he couldn’t be in their gang.

“But color inside the lines!”
“Did she say something?”

Nancy pointing out that the boys still lived together and their fridge was a kegerator.

Jared and Peter walking into nearly every room of the house looking for a way out, after pointing out that they didn’t have any weaknesses.

Peter meeting Tess. Aw.

“Is he your life partner?”
“She’s seen you guys take sunset walks along the beach.”

The boys demonstrating just how angry someone could get when they got pranked. Loved them counting down the seconds until they would need the bailiffs.

“You smell.”

Pindar reluctantly giving the coin to Tess. Aw.

“Petty sure the Indians invented that. for sitting.”

The boys finding out that Charlie went out with Richie Sambora.

Freck making the most interesting entrance on this show, like, ever. His exit wasn’t bad, either.

“I couldn’t be surer if he had his name tattooed on his forehead. Which he did.”

The boys checking to see if Damien was a replicant after he said he was the only one who cared about people.

The boys making Damien say that he needed help over and over again. Classic.

“Whatever this is, I like it.”
“I like it, too.”

Jared threatening to come through the phone if Pindy sent him another photo of fat people bowling.

“Conjugal sex isn’t exactly on my bucket list.”

The boys having to inform the other guy that the “Quaker Oats lady” wasn’t actually a lady at all.

“You did good, Karp. God knows you need the karma.”

“Get the freck out of here.”
“You really frecked him up.”

“But my mom isn’t your job.”

“Pindy, she sees you as a baby brother.”

The boys coming up with all of the fun “games” to play with Boba Fett.
