‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 4: What’s Coming Up Next?

Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Episode 1 A is for A-L-I-V-E (7)

One thing you can always count on where the ABC Family teen drama Pretty Little Liars is concerned: you never know what is coming next.

But one thing that can be expected with this show is that there are always interesting guest stars showing up; and this fourth season of the series will be no exception.

Among the guest stars who will be showing up this season include:

Kamar de los Reyes – The ‘One Life to Live’ alum will be guest-starring in an August episode as Dominic, a respected swimming coach who is famous for having sent athletes to the Olympics. But given what viewers already know about the current storyline, it is a question of whether Dominic is there for star, but injured, athlete Emily (series lead Shay Mitchell) or her just as talented (but somewhat overlooked) girlfriend Paige (recurring actress Lindsey Shaw). Time will tell, wont it?

Rumer Willis (daughter of actor Bruce Willis and actress Demi Moore) – As we reported here, she will play Zoe, an organizer of a worldwide charity, who is the type of girl who will change the world and keep her sense of humor at the same time (whatever that means in the crazy-ass world of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, right?!).

Luke Kleintank – The ‘Bones’ squintern (and former recurring guest star on the short-lived ‘No Ordinary Family’) will, as we reported here, appear as Travis, a good kid with strong morals who has a secret that may end up helping one of the ‘liars’ in a major way.

The other thing that fans of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ can count on is that people leave Rosewood and not always in the best of ways. I mean, how big is the body count in this little hamlet outside of Philadelphia, anyway, right?! It really is insane.

But thankfully two departures that will take place will (for the most part) not include any unexpected death. What are those two departures? Well, we already know that Aria’s mom Ella (series regular Holly Marie Combs) is contemplating leaving for Vienna with her much younger new boyfriend Zack (guest star Steve Talley).

And the other departure is that of series regular Tyler Blackburn who plays Caleb Rivers, the boyfriend of Hanna (series regular Ashley Benson). As we reported here, Caleb is leaving to go to the nearby town of Ravenswood (which just so happens to be the locale for the new spin-off series of the same name).

But before that can happen, though, Caleb has to help Hanna deal with her latest troubles, including trying to bury the gun for which she found in her mother’s closet. The very gun that Hanna thinks mommy dearest Ashley (recurring guest star Laura Leighton) used to kill Officer Wilden (former recurring guest star Bryce Johnson).

In fact, Blackburn had this to share with The Hollywood Reporter about how worried (the fans) should be of the trouble that Hanna’s family finds themselves in. “You should be worried. Things are going to get even stickier for them”. He further stated that “there are no boundaries when it comes to the manipulation (by “A”) so nobody’s safe. This season it gets a little bit more serious with at least one of (the) parents.

Blackburn also shared a bit of scoop with The Hollywood Reporter, sharing that Caleb will team up with Toby (series regular Keegan Allen) in upcoming episodes, “(it won’t happen) for a few more episodes, (but) everything that will be happening in the next few episodes leads up to that. There are so many layers to these mysteries that any piece of the onion they can peel away, that’s what they are trying to do. And it gets to a point where Caleb and Toby realize that maybe they’re a little bit stronger as a team”.

To find out about what is coming up next, make sure to watch the next new episode of the fourth season of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ on ABC Family tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 23 at 8/7c.
