Jerry O’Connell Joins ‘Veronica Mars’ Movie

Jerry O'Connell

Actor Jerry O’Connell (Stand By Me, Sliders) has joined the cast of the forthcoming Veronica Mars movie. TV Line has revealed that O’Connell is slated to play the Neptune’s chief of police and the long lost brother of Sherriff Lamb, Dan. As VM fans will recall, the sheriff died in season 3 of the sleuth series that stars Kristen Bell.

While breaking the news on the film’s Kickstarter page, Creator Rob Thomas shared that he hopes O’Connell’s alter ego is a character fans will “love to hate.” O’Connell joins a cast line-up of former series regulars Enrico Colantoni (Person of Interest), Jason Dohring (Moonlight), Percy Daggs III (Detention), Chris Lowell (Up in the Air), Tina Majorino (Waterworld), Francis Capra (Crank), Ryan Hansen (Friday the 13th) and Max Greenfield (New Girl).

On top of his attachment to the CBS comedy ‘We Are Men’, which is set to premiere on September 30, O’Connell brings with him a blend of television and film roles. The actor has been seen in the TV series ‘Burning Love’, ‘Scary Movie’, ‘Mockingbird Lane’, ‘Fish Hooks’, ‘The Defenders’, ‘G.I. Joe: Renegades’ and more.
