HBO has given an eight episode season order to Togetherness, a pilot from brothers Mark and Jay Duplass. The single-camera comedy, penned by the duo, follows two couples living in the same household in Los Angeles. While struggling in their own relationships, the foursome must also deal with their individual problems. The cast line-up includes actress Amanda Peet (Identity Thief)) who ends up moving in with her sister (played by Melanie Lynskey) and her husband Brett (Mark Duplass). In addition, Brett’s “over-the-hill actor friend” Alex (Zissis) is also living in the cramped quarters..

Due to his busy schedule, Mark Duplass was a last minute addition. Mark will also serve as a director and executive producer alongside Jay Duplass. Stephanie Langhoff will co-executive produce, as well as Steve Zissis, who will serve as a writer and consulting producer on the comedy. Production is slated to begin in Los Angeles sometime next year.

At the moment Mark Duplass is currently attached to the FX comedy series ‘The League’. The actor and producer has also been cast in a recurring role on the new Fox series ‘The Mindy Project’, starring Mindy Kaling. Duplass is also scheduled to show up in the feature films ‘Tammy’, ‘Parkland’ and ‘Mercy’.
