‘Ray Donovan’ Season 2 Announced

Ray Donovan - Showtime

Thanks to a record smashing premiere episode, Showtime has already picked up Ray Donovan for a second season. The new hit drama became Showtime’s highest rated premiere when its first episode garnered 6 million viewers across multiple platforms (including replays, On Demand and Live +7). Ray Donovan continued to break records in its second week when it became the first Showtime series to improve upon its premiere numbers by gaining 15% more viewers.

Ray Donovan is on track to be our biggest season one show ever,” said David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. in a statement. “Ann Biderman and the extraordinarily talented creative team, coupled with the brilliant ensemble cast led by Liev Schreiber, have produced one of the hottest new dramas of the year. We are proud and excited to pick up another season.”

The series stars Liev Schreiber as the titular fixer for Hollywood’s rich and famous, whose life is upset by the unexpected early release of his criminal father (Jon Voight) from prison. In addition to Schreiber and Voight, Ray Donovan also stars Elliott Gould, Paula Malcomson (The Hunger Games), Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes), Dash Mihok (I Am Legend), Steven Bauer (Breaking Bad), Katherine Moennig (The L Word), Pooch Hall (The Game), Kerris Dorsey (Moneyball) and Devon Bagby.

Ray Donovan airs Sundays at 10PM ET/PT on Showtime.
