Adam Lambert Joins The Cast Of ‘Glee’

Adam Lambert - American Idol

Former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert is headed to the Fox musical drama Glee, TV Line has confirmed. The series’ co-creator, Ryan Murphy, revealed Lambert’s casting with fans on his Twitter page last week. “I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall,” Murphy tweeted on Wednesday.

Fans have been waiting a long time for the singer to appear in ‘Glee’. The artist was a rumored guest star four years ago, but his appearance never happened. Lambert is scheduled to make his big debut this coming fall when the show returns to air in its fifth season on Fox. Details behind what role he will play have yet to be disclosed, but as the season 5 premiere approaches details are sure to be revealed.

Lambert brings with him credits that include the musicals ‘Wicked’ and ‘The Ten Commandments: The Musical’. The singer, who just broke his record contract with RCA records due to creative differences, has also appeared in the ABC Family series ‘Pretty Little Liars’. Lambert made his debut back in 2009 in a Halloween special. He has also made appearances on the ‘Fashion Police’, VH1’s ‘Divas 2012’ and ‘Rove L.A.’ the series.
