Jenna Elfman Cast In NBC’s ‘Growing Up Fisher’

1600 Penn - Season 1

Actress Jenna Elfman has been cast in a regular role in NBC’s upcoming fall comedy Growing Up Fisher. Elfman has joined the series as the on-screen wife of actor J.K. Simmons who plays a blind man that won’t allow his disability to slow him down.

Elfman’s character is described as adolescent in nature as she finds her way through the couple’s unusual divorce. The 30 minute comedy also includes newcomer Eli Baker, Tisha Terrasini Banker (Beware the Batman) and Ismail Bashey (Ball & Chain).

‘Growing Up Fisher’ is set to premiere midseason from creator DJ Nash (Til Death, Let It Go) and executive producers Jim Garavente and Jason Bateman. The ‘Horrible Bosses’ star will also serve as the series’ narrator.

Elfman, who rose to fame after starring as one half of the comedy duo ‘Dharma & Greg’, has recently appeared in NBC’s crime thriller ‘1600 Penn’ as the character Emily Nash Gilchrist. The Emmy award winning actress has also appeared in FX’s hit drama ‘Damages’, Showtime’s ‘Shameless’, the television series ‘Matumbo Goldberg’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’ opposite Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen. Her recent film roles include ‘Friend with Benefits’, ‘Bad Mom’ and ‘Love Hurts’.
