Get A Room

For seven seasons, actress Lisa Edelstein appeared on the popular FOX medical drama ‘House’ before leaving the show prior to its final season in 2011-2012. Since that time she has been in high demand, making guest appearances on shows like ‘Scandal’, ‘Elementary’, ‘The Good Wife’ and ‘House of Lies’. Now comes news that she will be making a multi-episode appearance on the popular ABC dramedy Castle.

According to a report at TV Line (, Edelstein will play Rachel McCord, “a tough and highly-skilled Federal Investigator whose appearance plays a vital role in Beckett’s decisions about her future”.

As fans of the show know all too well, Detective Kate Beckett (series lead Stana Katic) was offered a job on a special task force for the U.S. Attorney General’s office AND was proposed to by author boyfriend Richard Castle (series lead Nathan Fillion), leaving viewers hanging all summer on what Kate’s answer will be. The casting of Edelstein in this role will certainly make things interesting for the couple.

Prior to her days on ‘House’, Edelstein appeared in TV shows like ‘The West Wing’, ‘Felicity’ and ‘Ally McBeal’ and she had small roles in the box office films ‘As Good As It Gets’, ‘What Women Want’ and ‘Keeping the Faith’.

‘Castle’ will be back for its sixth season on ABC sometime this fall.
