Rob Lowe Books A Return Trip To ‘Californication’ Season 7

‘The West Wing’ alum Rob Lowe will be returning to the seventh season of Showtime’s Californication, starring David Duchovny (X Files). Lowe will appear in one episode of the long running Tom Kapinos created drama, reprising his role as Eddie Nero. As fans will recall, Lowe appeared opposite Hank Moody as the eccentric film star in season six.

In the seventh season Lowe will play into a storyline involving Hank as he joins the writer’s room behind the television adaptation of his story ‘Santa Monica Cop’. Lowe’s Nero will land a guest role in the drama. Meanwhile, Hank will also be busy dealing with the executive producer, Rick Rath (guest star Michael Imperioli), who he attempts to tolerates, as well as his writing team peers.

Lowe joins season seven guest stars Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Alonzo Bodden (The Girl Next Door), Heather Graham (The Hangover), Stephen Tobolowsky (Memento), Oliver Cooper (Project X), Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder), Roger Howarth (As The World Turns) and Mercedes Masohn (Quarantine 2: Terminal).

Lowe has recently been seen in the comedy series ‘Parks & Recreation’, ‘Brothers & Sisters’ and ‘Dr. Vegas’. The 49-year-old is also set to star in ‘To Appomattox’ as Ulysses S. Grant, ‘Killing Kennedy’ and ‘Behind the Candlelabra’.
