‘The Millers’ Cast Glee’s Jayma Mays

Actress Jayma Mays of ‘Glee’ fame is headed to the CBS network. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mays has been cast as Debbie in the forthcoming freshman series The Millers. Mays’ casting in the series places her opposite Will Arnett (Up All Night), Beau Bridges (The Descendants) and Margo Martindale (Million Dollar Baby).

‘The Millers’ follows Arnett in the role of Nathan, a recently divorced guy that lives with his mother following his parent’s split. Mays will play his sister, who must also bare the brunt of their parent’s divorce by letting her father move in. Her character is described as married with two children of her own. In the hopes that her parent’s will reunite, Debbie refuses to make her father comfortable.

The multicamera comedy comes from Greg Garcia of ‘Raising Hope’ fame. Mays replaces actress Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), who was originally cast in the role, but has since left the show behind.

Mays is well known for role as guidance counselor Emma in Fox’s ‘Glee’. The actress is slated to show up in several episodes in a guest role in the series’ fifth season. Mays has also been seen in ‘The League’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother.

‘The Millers’ premieres September 26 at 8:30 p.m. on the CBS network.
