‘Hemlock Grove’ Season 2 Announced by Netflix

Netflix is extending their stay in Hemlock Grove.

The streaming company announced today that the horror series from executive producer Eli Roth (Cabin Fever) has been picked up for a 10-episode second season. Additionally, Hemlock Grove‘s writing staff will get an infusion of new blood thanks to seasoned showrunner Charles H. (Chic) Eglee (The Walking Dead, Dexter), who will serve as an executive producer.

“The worldwide fan response to Hemlock Grove was phenomenal” said Roth in a statement. “Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked. Season One was just a warm up for what we have in store for season two. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected.”

Based on a novel by Brian McGreevy, Hemlock Grove delves into the mysterious dark side of a small Pennsylvania town. The series stars Famke Janssen (X-Men), Bill Skarsgård (Simon & The Oaks), Landon Liboiron (Terra Nova), Freya Tingley (X), and Dougray Scott (Mission Impossible II).

Hemlock Grove season two is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2014.
