Jason Alexander To Guest Star In TV Land’s ‘Kirstie’

‘Seinfeld’ star Jason Alexander has booked a gig to appear in TV Land’s forthcoming freshman comedy Kirstie, starring Kirstie Alley (Cheers). The series was picked up by TV Land this past February and follows Alley as a Broadway star named Madison Banks, who is unexpectedly united with the son (Eric Petersen) she gave up for adoption.

Rhea Perlman (Cheers) stars as Maddie’s assistant and best friend as well as Michael Richards (Seinfeld) in the role of her driver. Alexander will play her TV agent in what he describes as both familiar and new. “It is a strange and wonderful thing to be working on a brand new show yet surrounded by familiar faces and friends. I’m looking forward to a fun and fabulous time.”

‘Kirstie’ comes from creator and executive producer Marco Pennette with Kirstie Alley and Jason Weinberg on board as executive producers behind the comedy. Larry W. Jones and Keith Cox will also serve as executive producers, joining the duo.

Jason Alexander is best known for his role as George Costanza in ‘Seinfeld’. Following the series eight year run, Alexander went on to appear in ‘Dilbert’, ‘Harry’s Law’, ‘Bob Patterson’, the TV series ‘Listen Up’, ‘Step It Up and Dance’, ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ and ‘Clipaholics’. Most recently Alexander has been seen in the comedy series ‘Community’.
