‘30 Rock’ actor and comic Tracy Morgan has signed on to star in the FX series Death Pact. The comedy comes from Rob Long and Tad Safran. He decides to try an coax three childhood friends, who are down on their luck, into accepting his radical self-help views.

Nick Grad, the Executive Vice President of Original Programming at FX, shared the news of Morgan’s attachment to ‘Death Pact’. “Needless to say anything starring Tracy Morgan could be off-the-charts hilarious and we’re betting this one is,” said Grad. “Rob Long, Tad Safran, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum have delivered a terrific starring vehicle for Tracy. We look forward to casting the other three co-stars and getting started with production. This is going to be fun.”

The series has yet to cast the three friends of Morgan. Production on ‘Death Pact’ is slated to begin this summer in both New York and New Jersey. Morgan is best known for his roles in ‘Saturday Night Live’, ‘The Son of No One’, ‘G-Force’ and ‘Rio’.
