Neil Patrick Harris Tapped To Host 65th Primetime Emmy Awards

CBS announced today that How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris will be suiting up to host and produce The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards. This marks the in demand performer’s second stint as host; he previously emceed the 2009 ceremony. Additionally, Harris will also be hosting the Tony Awards for the fourth time next Sunday (June 9th) on CBS.

“I couldn’t be more honored and excited to be hosting this year’s Emmy Awards,” said Harris in a statement. “And what perfect timing – I’ll just do the exact same script I’m about to use for the Tonys. ‘And the Emmy for Best Revival of a Musical goes to ‘Breaking Bad!’ See, told you it works.”
