‘Inside Amy Schumer’ Season 2 Announced

Comedy Central has ordered a second season of comedian Amy Schumer’s show, Inside Amy Schumer. Kent Alterman, the president of Content Development and Original Programming at Comedy Central, made the official announcement of the network’s decision to order 10 new episodes. “Amy Schumer,” Alterman said. “She’s hilarious. I also love her comedy.”

Excited over the pick-up, Amy Schumer shared her thoughts over returning to the network for another season. “I am so proud of our show. And ecstatic to get to work with all these a**holes again.”

The comedy series’ second year is set to premiere sometime in the fall of 2014. The series’ renewal comes just one month after the launch of season one on April 30. The freshman comedy has since been deemed one of the most entertaining shows in the 10:30 p.m. timeslot. ‘Inside Amy Schumer’ comes from the comedian herself, Daniel Powell and head writer Jessi Klein.

Featured guest stars and cast for season one of the show include John Glaser (Human Giant), Michael Showalter (Wet Hot American Summer), Amber Tamblyn (House), Michael Ian Black (Run Fat Boy Run), Rob Schneider (Grown Ups), Abby Elliott (Saturday Night Live), Lisa Lampanelli (The Apprentice), David Attwell (Self Insomnia with Steve Attwell), Nikki Glaser (Nikki and Sarah Live!) and Sara Schaefer (The Taper).
