‘Sons of Anarchy’ Casts CCH Pounder In Guest Role

The Shield’s CCH Pounder, who fans know well as Detective Claudette Wyms, has booked a multi-episode arc on Sons of Anarchy. She is set to take on the character Tyne Patterson, who is described as a San Joaquin County District Attorney. Pounder’s alter ego will end up on the wrong side of the Sons of Anarchy’s violent bikers.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Pounder will show up in the new season’s second episode that is scheduled to air this coming fall on FX. The actress is the seventh cast member from ‘The Shield’ to guest star on the series. She joins the ranks of her former co-stars Jay Karnes, Walton Goggins, Jay Karnes, Benito Martinez, David Rees Snell, and Kenny Johnson, who have all turned up in the drama over the course of the last couple of seasons. Pounder’s guest stint will reunite her with Sons’ creator Kurt Sutter, who is also from ‘The Shield’.

Pounder has previously appeared in ‘Brothers’ the TV series as Mrs. Trainor, James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster hit ‘Avatar’, ‘The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency’, the short-lived series ‘Justice League’, ‘Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story’, the sitcom ‘Girlfriends’, and more.
