DirecTV to Debut Neil LaBute Drama ‘Full Circle’

According to a report at The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter and playwright Neil LaBute will make his small-screen debut on DirecTV in the form of the 10-episode series Full Circle that will begin production shortly in Los Angeles for a fall 2013 premiere.

‘Full Circle’ will be about a group of 11 people whose lives are intertwined with the action taking place in a restaurant, featuring a conversation between two characters, with one of the character’s story lines carrying over into the next episode through a conversation with a new character. That character will then be featured in the following episode with the process continuing until the final episode.

The characters involved in ‘Full Circle’ will include Tim (Tom Felton from the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise), an exchange student from England, and his love interest Bridgette (Minka Kelly from ‘Friday Night Lights’); Bridgette’s husband Stanley (Julian McMahon from ‘Nip/Tuck’), a charismatic and intense entertainment lawyer; Stanley’s client Jace (David Boreanaz from ‘Bones’), a famous comic known for his outlandish behavior; Chan’dra (Keke Palmer from ‘Joyful Noise’), whose life was irrevocably altered as a result of a joke that Jace took too far; Cliff (Devon Gearhart), a classmate Chan’dra secretly has a crush on; Cliff’s father, Trent (Billy Campbell from ‘The Killing’), and his wife, Trisha (Kate Walsh from ‘Private Practice’); Peter (Cheyenne Jackson from ‘Glee’), an aspiring singer who intrudes on a special night between Trent and Trisha; Robbie (Noah Silver from ‘The Borgias’), Trisha’s student who purports an unusual connection to his teacher, and his mother Celeste (Ally Sheedy from ‘The Breakfast Club’), with whom he shares an unnerving bond. The final episode brings the characters together, with the unexpected addition of one (Robin Weigert from ‘Sons of Anarchy’), for an explosive ending that is sure to change all of these characters’ lives irreparably.

LaBute will write and co-executive produce ‘Full Circle’ along with executive producer and director Nick Hamm (‘Rogue’) for Momentum TV.
