‘The X Factor’ Signs Kelly Rowland & Paulina Rubio For Season 3

Two new judges will join Simon Cowell and pop star Demi Lovato in season three of Fox’s The X Factor. The network has struck a deal with Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and Latin singer Paulina Rubio. The two artists will fill the void left behind by L.A. Reid and Britney Spears, making the judges panel mainly female.

“It’s taken more than a decade but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!),” said Cowell when discussing the new X Factor judges. “Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”

Since the official confirmation of Rowland and Rubio’s decision to join the show, both artists have shared their excitement. “I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and ‘The X Factor’ family. It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the states!”
Rowland previously judged on the UK version with Rubio also familiar with the format of a music competition after working on the Mexican edition of ‘The Voice’.

“I love ‘The X Factor’! I can’t wait to find the next big music star here in America. I’m so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge. Simon, be careful what you wish for, let’s see if you are ready to handle me, empieza la fiesta, amigo,” Rubios said.

‘The X Factor’ kicks off production on season three this week with plans to debut in the fall.
