BBC America’s ‘In the Flesh’ Teaser Previews A Different Kind of Zombie Story

Zombies as dinner guests? It may sound crazy, but that’s exactly the scenario presented in the first teaser for BBC America’s In the Flesh, a three night zombie series event set to air this June (the series originally aired on BBC Three earlier this year).

Given everything pop culture has taught us about the undead, breaking bread with zombie sounds ill-advised, but In the Flesh isn’t your typical zombie tale. It’s a story told from the point of view of the zombies for starters, namely 18-year-old Kieren Walker (Luke Newberry, Anna Karenina) who comes back from the dead after committing suicide four years earlier. Kieren is just one of many PDS (Partially Deceased Syndrome) sufferers tasked with learning how to live again after not only dying, but coming back as a flesh-craving zombie. Check out the teaser below for your first look at the series. Are you curious to see a series that’s actually about zombies instead of being about how to kill them?

In the Flesh will air over three consecutive nights beginning Thursday, June 6, 10pm ET/PT on BBC America.
