Kristen Wiig To Guest Star On ‘The Simpsons’

Former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star and ‘Bridesmaids’ actress Kristen Wiig has booked a guest role on an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, Entertainment Weekly reports. Wiig will voice the role of an FBI Agent in the episode entitled ‘Homerland’ that sees Homer acting odd after attending a nuclear power plant convention.

Concerned over her father’s behavior, Lisa calls on an agent for help to get down to the bottom of things. The upcoming guest role for Wiig marks her second trip to the hit Fox animation. She previously played a substitute music teacher, Calliope Juniper, who piqued the interests of Principal Skinner.

Wiig will show up in the series’ 25th season, set to air in the fall. She joins guest stars Aaron Sorkin of ‘The Newsroom’ and comic book extraordinaire, Stan Lee, who will also appear in the same season. Wiig is currently working on ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’ with previous roles in ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’, ‘Girl Most Likely’, ‘Friends with Kids’, the TV series ‘Portlandia’ and the alien comedy ‘Paul’. Wiig has voiced roles in ‘Despicable Me’ and ‘How To Train Your Dragon’.
