‘Downton Abbey’ Season 4 Premiere Date Announced

Downton Abbey

The folks over at The Hollywood Reporter recently made the US fans of the international hit series Downton Abbey extremely happy by announcing that the much-anticipated fourth season of the UK series will air on PBS from January 5 through February 23.

That being said, yes, viewers will have to wait that long for the fourth season to air, but at least we have a date on our calendars for which to look forward to with baited breath, right?!

Season four of ‘Downton Abbey’ will find legendary actress Shirley MacLaine reprising her role of Martha Levinson, Cora’s (series regular Elizabeth McGovern) mother, and “there will also be some new faces in the cast”, including hunky UK actor Tom Cullen (‘World Without End’), who will play Lord Gillingham, who is a friend of the Crawley family. He also has history with Lady Mary (series regular Michelle Dockery).

Also joining season four of ‘Downton Abbey’ is British actor Gary Carr as we reported here and even more new faces, such as Joanna David and Julian Ovenden (among others) as we reported here.

Again, the fourth season of ‘Downton Abbey’ will be coming to PBS starting on January 5 so mark your calendars!
