‘Happy Endings’ Cancelled by ABC

ABC has cancelled Happy Endings after three seasons.

Despite garnering critical acclaim, the comedy struggled to maintain its audience this season as it was shuffled around the schedule from Tuesdays to Sundays before finishing out its run on Friday nights. However, the fast-talking hangout comedy may have life left in it yet. EW reports that the series’ producers ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television are still in talks with USA Network, who has expressed interest in giving the series a new home.

In addition to Happy Endings, ABC also dropped the curtain on Dana Delany’s Body of Proof, Red Widow, How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life and Reba McEntire’s Malibu Country.

ABC will announce their full 2013-2014 schedule Tuesday, May 14th at their annual upfront presentation.
