‘The Hustle’ Series Premiere Date Announced by Fuse

Music channel Fuse is getting into the scripted series game with the half-hour dramedy The Hustle, from Prentice Penny (Happy Ending). As Deadline reported earlier today, the series will premiere Wednesday, June 19th at 11/10c and will be followed by an after-show in the vein of The Talking Dead entitled The Hustle After Party. The companion show will feature interviews and performances from hip hop stars as well as discussions with the series’ cast.

The series focuses on Brooklyn’s Finest, a rap duo that is just starting out in the business. The two performers, Kutta and D (Y’Lan Noel and London Brown), will navigate the industry with help from their “one man entourage” Rashad (Clinton Lowe) and their childhood friend turned label exec Ya-Ya (Erica Dickerson). The Hustle will feature guest appearances by real life rap stars, including Travis Porter, Jadakiss and Red Cafe.

Again, the six-episode first season will premiere Wednesday, June 19th at 11/10c on Fuse.
