Steve Carell Confimed For ‘Office’ Finale

Steve Carell will reportedly show up in The Office finale, according to TV Line. The outlet has spoken to a source that says Carell won’t be appearing as a guest star, rather making a cameo appearance as his wacky character Michael Scott.

This latest news comes after series’ exec producer Greg Daniels shared that carell would most likely not be returning for ‘The Office’ finale.
“I think Steve felt, and I agree, that the ‘Goodbye, Michael’ episode was his goodbye and he didn’t want to overshadow the ending that all the other characters deserved,” Daniels said.

A spokesperson for the NBC network has since declined to comment on whether or not Carell would end up in the comedy’s last episode. The actor did however, show up at the Office’s wrap party that was recently held in Scranton, Pennsylvania. ‘The Office’ finale is scheduled to air on May 16.

After leaving the Office behind Carell has been busy working on such big screen features as ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’, ‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World’, ‘The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, ‘Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem 3D’, ‘The Simpsons’, ‘ Hope Springs’ and ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’.
