Haley Joel Osment Joins Wiig & Maguire In IFC Miniseries

‘The Sixth Sense’ actor, Haley Joel Osment, has signed on to star in the IFC mini-series, The Spoils of Babylon. According to Deadline, Osment will star as the character Winston, the “devilish” son of Cynthia in a story that follows Morehouse Enterprises, founded by a family who made their riches through a successful oil business.

The drama will explore the family’s history, Winston’s entry into the business and the strained relationship between oil heiress Cynthia Morehouse and her adopted brother Devon Morehouse. Cynthia will be played by Kristen Wiig (Brodemaids) with Spider-Man’s Tobey Maguire on board as Devon Morehouse.

The miniseries is produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay of Funny Or Die. Andrew Steele co-wrote the script with Matt Piedmont who is directing. The two executive produce with Ferrell and McKay.

Osment has recently been busy working on the Amazon pilot ‘Alpha House’ opposite Jon Goodman (Flight). He has also been seen in the film ‘Sex Ed’, the 2012 feature ‘Sassy Pants’, Misadventures of the Dunderheads’, ‘I’ll Follow You Down’, ‘Behind the Scenes of Sacks West’, ‘Kingdom Hearts’. ‘Family Guy’. ‘Ally McBeal’ and more.
