Eva Longoria To Lead Hulu Animated Comedy ‘Mother Up’

‘Desperate Housewives’ actress Eva Longoria has inked a new deal to voice a leading character in the animation comedy Mother Up. According to TV Guide, ‘Mother Up’ is a half-hour series set to premiere on Hulu and on Canada’s City Television this coming fall.

Longoria has been tapped to voice the main character, Rudi Wilson, who is described as a “disgraced former record executive.” Ready for a fresh start, Longoria’s character will relocate to the suburbs to focus on her job as a mother where she ends up partying, drinking and swearing. Longoria will also serve as an executive producer on ‘Mother Up’ with Sony Pictures Chief Yair Landau and Family Guy co-producer Michael Shipley.

Longoria is currently attached to NBC’s ‘Ready for Love’, a new dating series the actress executive produces. Unfortunately the series was just shelved today by NBC. She is also busy working on Lifetime’s ‘Devious Maids‘. The 38-year-old is best known for her roles in ‘For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada’, ‘Childrens Hospital’, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’, ‘Arthur Christmas’, ‘Crazy Kind of Love’, ‘The Baytown Outlaws’ and ‘A Dark Truth’.

Mother Up’ is currently being shopped to both to iTunes and Netflix as well.
