Drea de Matteo Will Return To ‘Sons Of Anarchy’

‘Sopranos’ alumni Drea de Matteo will be reprising her role on FX’s Sons of Anarchy, TV Line has reported. Matteo will return in her role as Wendy, the dysfunctional ex of Jax. Except, this time around Wendy will reportedly show up with her head on straight.

“The most f—ed-up person at the beginning of the show is now, in a weird way, the healthiest parent,” creator Kurt Sutter shared. “She’s the only one that’s hit bottom and had to do some work on herself.” Adding, “And now she has some self-awareness, which none of those guys do.”

The last time fans saw Wendy, Jax had injected her with heroin in the hopes of making her appear unfit and delussional after she threatened to air his dirty laundry in front of the authorities of the Charming police department.

Since appearing in ‘Sons of Anarchy’, Drea de Matteo has been busy working on ‘The Mindy Project’, the 2013 movie ‘Stalkers’ and ‘Free Ride’. Matteo has also been seen in ‘Swordfish’, ‘Californication’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Desperate Housewives’, ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Joey’ and ‘Broken English’.

Sons of Anarchy‘s sixth season is slated to debut this fall on the FX Network.
