Michael Imperioli Set To Guest Star On ‘Californication’

Actor Michael Imperioli will guest star on Californication’s seventh season. The ‘Sopranos’ star is scheduled to appear in a multi-episode arc in the Showtime series. Imperiolo is slated to play the character Rick Rath, who is described as a “successful old-school television producer.”

Imperioli’s character will help the infamous playboy and writer Hank Moody (series star and executive producer David Duchovny) on his latest small screen venture. The actor became a household name after appearing as mobster the Christopher in HBO’s ‘Sopranos’. He has also starred in ‘Law & Order’, ‘New York Undercover’, ‘NYPD Blue’, ‘Life on Mars’ and ‘Detroit 1-8-7’.

Imperioli has also appeared in several films that include ‘Jungle Fever’, ‘Goodfellas’, ‘Malcolm X’, ‘Clockers’, ‘Summer of Sam’, ‘Oldboy’, the recently released film ‘The Call’ with Halle Berry, ‘Vijay and I’, as well as ‘The Scribble’,’The Hungry Ghosts’, ‘The Lovely Bones’, ‘Love in the Time of Money’ and ‘My Baby’s Daddy’.

Californication’s seventh season (rumored to be the last) will begin production this coming month in Los Angeles. Fans can expect to see the 12-episode season chronicling the adventures of Hank Moody sometime in 2014 on Showtime.
