‘Breaking Bad’ Spin-Off With Saul Goodman In The Works

A Breaking Bad spin-off could be on the way, TV Line reports. The AMC network is rumored to be contemplating a new series since the Bryan Cranston drama is headed into its last 8-episode season.

The spin-off will reportedly zero in on criminal lawyer Saul Goodman, who is played by actor Bob Odenkirk (How I Met Your Mother). Currently the finer details of the spin-off have yet to be hashed out with the hopes that ‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan would be on board, as well as writer-producer Peter Gould.

This isn’t the first time talk of a ‘Breaking Bad’ spin-off has occurred. Vince Gilligan hinted about the possibility at the WGA Awards earlier this year, telling TVLine, ”In my mind’s eye, I would like to see a Saul Goodman spin-off. I would love that. So maybe we’ll try to get that going.”

The conclusion of ‘Breaking Bad’ season five will debut on Sunday, July 15 on AMC.

What do you think ‘Breaking Bad’ fans? Are you excited about the possibility of a spin-off? Is actor Saul Goodman good enough to carry the show?
