One of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Recently Departed is Coming Back

As TV viewers of the CW series The Vampire Diaries know all too well (but prepare yourself for a SPOILER ALERT if you are not current with the series), Jeremy Gilbert (actor Steven R. McQueen) lost his life in the February 21 “Stand By Me” episode of the series, seemingly closing the book on yet another victim of the infestation of vampires, werewolves and hybrids in Mystic Falls.

But is Jeremy really dead? Will he even be able to come back?

It would seem that a tentative yes to both of those questions is in store for the show’s viewers, as TV Line is reporting that McQueen will be returning to the series later this season.

In true ‘The Vampire Diaries’-style, though, details on how Jeremy will be coming back are being a tightly-held secret. It is possible that immortal Silas could take on Jeremy’s form – much like he has done with Caroline (series regular Candice Accola) and Professor Shane (recurring guest star David Alpay) – or maybe Bonnie (series regular Kat Graham) will be able to separate the veil between their world and the “other side”, returning Jeremy to Mystic Falls.

Fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next and they can do that when the next new episode of season five of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ airs on The CW on Thursday, April 18 at 8/7c.
