‘Continuum’ Season 2 Announced

Continuum (Showcase) (11)

The Canadian sci-fi series Continuum received a season two order from its home network Showcase and now the good news has come for the viewers here in the United States courtesy of TV Line that Syfy has also picked the show up for its sophomore season.

‘Continuum’ stars Rachel Nichols (‘Alias’ and ‘Star Trek’) as Kiera Cameron, a cop from the year 2077, who is transported back to present day Vancouver along with a group of rebels who were convicted as terrorists in her time. Now, in order to capture the terrorist and hopefully return to her own time, Kiera works side-by-side with Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster (‘Mutant X’ and ‘Castle’) to bring them down. The cast also includes Eric Knudsen (‘Jericho’), Stephen Lobo (‘Arctic Air’), Roger Cross (’24’) and Lexa Doig (‘Stargate: SG-1’).

The series “averaged 1.4 million viewers during its first season run on Syfy, ranking number 10 among all cable shows for its timeslot in the 18 to 49 demo”.

The 13-episodes of the second season of ‘Continuum’ will air on Syfy on a new night and in a new timeslot, starting on Friday, June 7 at 10/9c.
