Actor Luke Grimes to Recur on ‘True Blood’

Actor Luke Grimes, best known for his recurring role on the latter seasons of ‘Brothers & Sisters’, will be tackling a much different role: that of a vampire on the HBO hit series True Blood.

According to the folks over at TV Line, Grimes will play the recurring role of James, a vampire who was turned the 1970’s, who is “smart, spiritual and emotionally deeper than any other bloodsucker” seen on the show before. The report further shares that the character of James is “every woman’s dream come true and he doesn’t even know it”. No pressure there, Luke, in making that believable, right?! He will make his appearance on ‘True Blood’ at the “midway point” of the show’s sixth season.

Essentially Grimes made his big debut on ‘Brothers & Sisters’, but he did have a role in last year’s ‘Taken 2’ and the failed pilot ‘Outlaw Country’. He also has several upcoming projects including ‘Stars’ with Kathryn Hahn (‘Crossing Jordan’) and Illeana Douglas (‘Ghost World’) and ‘Squatters’ with legendary actor Richard Dreyfuss and Nancy Travis (‘Last Man Standing’).

‘True Blood’ does not have an official season premiere date yet, but it will be back on HBO sometime in June.
