‘Teen Wolf’ Hunk Colton Haynes Finds New Home on ‘Arrow’

Actor Colton Haynes, who has appeared in the MTV thriller ‘Teen Wolf’ and the short-lived ABC drama ‘The Gates’, made a guest appearance in the February 20 episode on the hot new CW series Arrow entitled “Dodger”. He will appear in several more episodes as the debut season of the series based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow and has now been promoted to series regular status when ‘Arrow’ returns for its second season this fall.

Haynes plays Roy Harper (aka Speedy in the comics), a quick-witted con artist and thief, who stole Thea Queen’s (Willa Holland) [the younger sister of Oliver Queen aka The Hood aka Arrow] expensive handbag. When he was caught and confessed to that crime for the sake of saving his supposed drug-addicted mother, Thea took pity on him only to learn that he may have been lying through his teeth to save his own hide.

Future episodes of the debut season of ‘Arrow’ will find Roy in trouble again, needing the help from Oliver; and given Roy’s history with Oliver Queen in the guise of the Green Arrow in the comics and the over-riding drug problem Roy has, it is more than possible that his comic book story could apply in the TV adaptation.

Among Haynes’s other TV credits are guest roles in episodes of ‘Privileged’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Pushing Daisies’, ‘Melrose Place’ and ‘The Nine Lives of Chloe King’ as well as the made-for-TV movie ‘Always and Forever’.

The next new episode of ‘Arrow’ will air next Wednesday, March 20 on The CW at 8/7c. [Source: Zap2It]
