‘Lost Girl’ Season 4 Announced

The Canadian series Lost Girl that has become a sci-fi hit on both sides of the border has been renewed for a fourth season by its home network Showcase. But have no fear US fans as the folks over at Syfy are picking up the show as well.

‘Lost Girl’ is currently midway through its third season, earning giant ratings in Canada and performing moderately well here in the States. In fact, the series – which follows supernatural seductress Bo (series lead Anna Silk), a tough yet loveable Succubus who feeds off sexual energy – has become a cornerstone series for Showcase and a top-rated specialty drama in Canada.

The cast includes Gemini Award-winner (Canada’s version of the Emmys) Ksenia Solo, Kris Holden-Ried (‘The Tudors’), Zoie Palmer (‘The Guard’), Rick Howland (‘Murdoch Mysteries’) and K.C. Collins (‘Doomstown’). Joining the cast in season three is Rachel Skarsten (‘Flashpoint’) and, in an upcoming guest appearance, none other than Linda Hamilton (‘Terminator’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’) herself.

‘Lost Girl’ was developed by Prodigy Pictures, in association with Shaw Media and Showcase. The executive producers are Jay Firestone, Emily Andras, Paul Rapovski, and Plato Fountidakis.

Production on the fourth season will begin this spring with plans by Showcase to air the new episodes starting in late 2013. Airings will take place here in the States sometime in 2014.

In the meantime, Canadian viewers can see the next new episode of ‘Lost Girl’ this Sunday, March 3 at 9 PM while US viewers will see the new episode on Monday, March 4 at 10/9c on Syfy.
