Spartacus Actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson Headed To ‘The Vampire Diaries’

Actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson of ‘Spartacus: War of the Damned’ has booked a guest role on the CW’s The Vampire Dairies, TV Guide has shared. Addai-Robinson is slated to play the character Aja, a stranger who comes to town to help resident character Bonnie. She is described as a powerful witch who knows Bonnie’s mother. In the March 21st episode Aja will pay a visit to Mystic Falls to help Bonnie control her magic.

Aja’s appearance comes after the loss of the series’ regular Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) who was shockingly killed of the show. The death is sure to affect the lives of all of the ‘Vampire Dairies’ characters with Elena set to fall apart at the seams. It is suspected that Bonnie is going to need a friend to lean on while her best friend checks out. The series was just renewed for a fifth season by the network.

Known to ‘Spartacus’ fans as Naevia, Addai-Robinson has also appeared in a long running stint in the series ‘Flashforward’. Over the years she has also guest starred in the crime drama ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, ‘CSI: NY’ as Dr. Karita Neville, ‘Numb3rs’, ‘Life’, ‘Dirt’ with Courteney Cox, the made for TV movie ‘A.M.P.E.D.’, ‘Dash 4 Cab’ and ‘Entourage’. The actress is currently filming the TV movie ‘King and Maxwell’ in the role of Megan Ainsley.
