‘Wedding Band’ Cancelled By TBS

Wedding Band (TBS) Pilot Episode 1

The TBS freshman series Wedding Band has been canceled by the network, according to TV Line. Starring Brian Austin Green (90210) as the top billed cast member, the series cancellation comes after the show garnered less than stellar ratings from the start of its November 2012 debut. In recent weeks the FremantleMedia North America and Mike Tollin produced comedy only managed to secure 850,000 total viewers in the 18-49 demographic.

Airing on TBS’ Saturday night line-up in the 10 p.m. timeslot, ‘Wedding Band’ also included actors Peter Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles), Harold Perrineau (28 Weeks Later) and Derek Miller (Transformers: The Dark Side of the Moon). The show, which featured guest stars such as Green’s wife Megan Fox (This Is 40) in the role of a sci-fi TV star and Molly Sims (Las Vegas), followed the friends trying to make a go at success as the band Mother of the Bride. The Josh Lobis (Inspector Gadget’s Last Case: Claw’s Revenge) and Darin Moiselle (That Guy) created show ended its first and last ten-episode season this past Saturday, January 26th.
