Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Season 2 Review “Dating Games…”

Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23 Season 2 Episode 11 Dating Games (1)

Dare I say it? Is Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 returning to the hysterical roots from whence it came? It seemed that way in “Dating Games…”, which, I would like to point out, is actually a second season episode, so it looks like someone at ABC got wise to the fact that airing things out of order is never a good idea for your loyal fan base.

It can be difficult to review a half hour comedy sitcom, mainly because comedy is subjective and what I find funny may not be what other people find funny, blah blah blah, you get the picture. However, Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 really hit home yesterday with James creating his own dating show simply because he could.

The show is insane and ends up involving June, Chole, Robin, Daniel and Daniel’s sick aunt… and James is just out of hand. I love that being a teen star suddenly propelled James to have more money than God, where he can actually do anything that he wants without thinking about the consequences.

I also just adore Luther and the man’s unwavering adoration and love for James. He’s wonderful, and the line: “Question. Can we punch Luther?” just made me laugh (and almost spit soda, but that’s neither here nor there).

The other reason that Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 improved drastically this week was because Chloe was given the spotlight back. Instead of being a sidelined character, she actually had a big “to do” with the plot of “Dating Games…” and seeing Ritter playing Chloe with delicious glee just made the episode incredibly enjoyable for me.

Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 is at it’s best when Chloe is up to her shenanigans, and I’m extremely happy that the series seems to be going back to that direction.
