Revenge Season 2: Where Do We Stand?

Revenge Season 2 Episode 5 Forgiveness (1)

The winter finale of Revenge just aired on ABC this past Sunday night and after nine new episodes of the show’s sophomore season, there has been a lot of activity in the Hamptons.

Let’s take a look at some of the big moments:

• Victoria (Madeline Stowe) did not die in the plane crash that took place in the season finale; and has been hiding out with the hope of sneaking away with Charlotte (Christa B. Allen);

• The white-haired man, Gordon Murphy (James Morrison), turns out to be married to Kara Wallace Clarke (Jennifer Jason Leigh), Amanda’s biological mother, who turns up very much alive and well, running a small motel;

• Conrad (Henry Czerny) and Victoria remarry not because they have any love in their hearts for each but in order to protect each other from having to testify against either one of them;

• A ship is found submerged that turns out to be Jack’s (Nick Wechsler) boat and a bloated body is found by scuba divers; but who exactly is the mystery person;

• Fauxmanda (Margarita Levieva ) is still in the picture with Jack by her side (albeit begrudgingly at first); and then is welcomed into the Grayson fold by Victoria herself, who also holds a baby shower from the mother-to-be;

• But during that shower, Fauxmanda takes a nasty fall, making it necessary for the baby to be delivered early and for the doctors to put her under a medically-induced coma; which – in true soap opera-style, does not last for long; and Fauxmanda is back among the living (all too soon);

• Jack and Fauxmanda end up getting engaged (once Jack learns that he really is the baby daddy, of course) while Emily (Emily VanCamp) becomes romantically involved with fellow Takeda (now played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) trainee (and former love) Aiden Mathias (Barry Sloane);

• Meanwhile, Ashley (Ashley Madekwe) and Daniel (Josh Bowman) are now a couple; but even that falls apart, at the hands of Emily and Aiden, when it is revealed that Ashley had a fling with Conrad;

• Nolan (Gabriel Mann) becomes involved with his new CFO Padma Lahari (Dilshad Vadsaria); but when she discovers the David Clarke check that helped him launch Nolcorp, that one event sets about a domino effect that could greatly alter Emily’s revenge plans; and,

• And, Jack seems to be in some serious trouble with the new moneymakers who are helping him with the bar Kenny and Nate Ryan (JR Bourne and Michael Trucco), who turn out to be the troubled sons of a man who was killed by the best friend of Jack’s dad back in the day (it would seem the brothers are set on their own bit of revenge path).

Needless to say, there has been a great deal going on in the Hamptons during the second season of ‘Revenge’ and fans of the show can expect even more when the show returns with new episodes on ABC starting on Sunday, January 6.
