Seth MacFarlane Books Guest Role On ‘The Simpsons’

Funnyman Seth MacFarlane is jumping animated worlds, according to EW, with an upcoming guest appearance in The Simpsons. MacFarlane is expected to show up in season 25 with the hopes of swooping Marge off her feet in the future episode entitled ‘Dangers on a Train’. Marge meet’s MacFarlane’s Ben after attempting to look at a baking website but ends up surfing a .com that is reserved for married people seeking affairs. “A lot of him trying to go after her is over the phone, so it’s a perfect part for someone with his voice,” executive producer Al Jean of ‘The Simpsons’ shared about the actor’s upcoming role.

Fans of both MacFarlane’s series and ‘The Simpsons’, who call the Fox network their home, may be wondering why the well known talent would be crossing enemy lines after getting in a few zingers over the years at the Homer Simpson animation and vice versa. “We wanted to come together in a bipartisan way to make Fox Sunday night rock,” Jean revealed.

Adding,” This was all very fun. We thought we had a great part that he’d be perfect for, and it would be great to have him on our show, so it worked out just right,” says Jean, noting: “There’s been a little rivalry. We’re both humor shows and we make jokes, but it’s always been friendly.”

Seth MacFarlane’s guest role on ‘The Simpsons’ is expected to air sometime next fall.
