‘Key & Peele’ Season 3 Announced

Key & Peele

Comedy Central’s hilarious sketch series Key & Peele has been renewed for a third season on the network. Kent Alterman, the Head of Original Programming and Production at Comedy Central, made the official announcement. “Since Obama won re-election, it only seems fair that we would give ‘Key and Peele’ another season,” the network exec stated.

The show comes from creators Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele who also star in the series. Showing their excitement over season 3, the duo thanked Comedy Central in a humorous statement. “We are so thrilled about the pick-up and want to thank COMEDY CENTRAL for FOUR MORE YEARS!” said Key and Peele. “Oh wait, what’s that? One more year? Oh….ok, that will work too.”

Currently airing its second season, ‘Key & Peele’ has reeled in an average of 1.5 million viewers each week with their laughable skits and more since their debut this past January. The pick-up will add thirteen new episodes to ‘Key & Peele’s series catalog and is set to debut in the fall of 2013. The show is executive produced by Key, Peele, Ian Roberts, Jay Martel and Joel Zadak.

‘Key & Peele’ airs on Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. Leave us your comments on season 3 below.
