Hart of Dixie Season 2 Review “Achy Breaky Hearts” – All Good Things…

Hart Of Dixie Season 2 Episode 8 Achy Breaky Heart
Zoe just can’t seem to stop herself from getting caught up in town drama. In this week’s episode of Hart of Dixie, “Achy Breaky Hearts,” she let herself participate in not one, but two of Lemon’s schemes, on the pretense of saving Lavon from getting his heart broken by Ruby. But I think that heartbreak is inevitable; all the girls really did in the end was postpone it.

After Lemon spotted Ruby talking to a good-looking man, she convinced Zoe to give him a physical exam and get him to confirm that Ruby was cheating on Lavon. Of course she wasn’t; the man was just a headhunter who wanted her for a big corporate job in Dallas. This truth was almost worse as Lavon immediately assumed that she would take the job and leave him behind eating dust. Well…he was kind of right. When Ruby found out, she hit the roof and immediately made preparations to interview for the job.

That’s when Lemon’s guilt kicked in, when it became clear that Lavon was miserable at the prospect of losing Ruby to Texas. Once again, she enlisted Zoe, only their goal changed to getting Lavon to get Ruby to stay. And that backfired, too. It wasn’t a good weekend for scheming. Ruby took the job, but she came back to be with Lavon in Bluebell until the end of the year. I kind of have to wonder what the point of that is, but I’m willing to go with the story for now.

Meanwhile, Wade got himself enlisted as a chaperone for the local wilderness boy’s group in order to avoid having to talk to George. He thought George wanted to discuss Zoe, but George really just wanted permission to date Wade’s ex-wife, Tansy. Out in the middle of the woods, while searching for a lost scout, Wade said no, figuring that George just wanted to use Tansy until Zoe was available.

He was wrong, of course, because he (like a lot of people) underestimated George, but George figured out that Wade was actually just worried that Zoe was doing the same thing to him, using him until someone better came along. And Zoe didn’t exactly put his fears to rest when she was visibly shaken to find out that George not only knew about her and Wade, but that he was a-okay with them being together.

George was right about this fear festering inside of Wade. Eventually it’s going to come exploding out and it’s not gonna be pretty.

Dr. Breeland got his heart broken this week, too, after he suggested that his long-distance girlfriend move to Bluebell and she refused to uproot her life. At least he’s still got Magnolia, who goes from brat to sweetheart faster than you can blink.

George and Tansy. Do we see this happening? Let me know below! And remember you can always follow me on Twitter @krieli1 so you never miss a review!
