Series Finales of ‘Last Resort’ and ‘666 Park Avenue’ Won’t Leave Fans Hanging

'Last Resort' and '666 Park Avenue Cancelled by ABC

As we reported here last weekend, ABC has canceled the new dramas Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue.

The great fear of fans of any TV show is that the series will come to an end without, well, a real ending. But it seems that the powers that be behind both shows have stated via TV Line that “they were given enough time to turn their respective swan songs into series finales”.

‘Last Resort’ creator Shawn Ryan shared, “we have time to tweak”, which means episode 13 – the last episode that will air – will actually be a “full-fledged series finale”. As for the men behind ‘666 Park Avenue’, David Wilcox and Matt Miller stated the series “is building to a powerful and surprising series finale, where all your questions will be answered”. It is their hope that fans of the show will continue to watch to end “Jane and Henry’s incredible journey to the dark side”.

Meanwhile, ABC President Paul Lee shared that, “it’s wonderful to see the passion [these] shows have”, but made it clear that the shows will not be returning except to run out their 13-episode airings.

The next new episode of ‘666 Park Avenue’ will air tonight, November 25 on ABC at 10:01/9:01c and then the next episode of ‘Last Resort’ will air on Thursday, November 29 at 8/7c.
