‘American Horror Story’ Season 3 Announced

Currently in the midst of its second season, American Horror Story is slated to return with more thrilling and eerie storylines now that FX has given the Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk creation the green light for a third year. John Landgraf, the President and General Manager of the FX Network, issued the official announcement.

“With American Horror Story: Asylum, Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first American Horror Story miniseries,” Landgraf shared. Adding, “And their original idea—the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast—has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can’t wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries.”

Glee’s Ryan Murphy, who teamed up with Falchuk to bring fans a whole new realm of horror each week, thanked FX for the renewal. “The American Horror Story anthology is a labor of love for all of us and we could not be prouder of the work our brilliant company of actors and everyone on the production team is doing this year. To John and our friends at FX and Dana Walden and Gary Newman at 20th, we thank you for your vote of confidence — and to our loyal audience, keep watching!”

‘American Horror Story’ Asylum will end its run on Wednesday, January 23rd at 10 PM E/P. Fans can expect to see season three of AHS, which includes 13 all new episodes, debut sometime in the fall of 2013. Details surrounding what’s to come is sure to be on the way.
