Sky 1 Releases First Trailer For ‘A Young Doctor’s Notebook’ Starring Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm [Video]

The new trailer for Sky’s upcoming four-part miniseries, A Young Doctor’s Notebook features lots of laughs, one horrifying attempt at a tooth extraction and Jon Hamm (Mad Men) passing Daniel Radcliffe (star of the Harry Potter franchise) a loofah in the bath. Based on short stories by Mikhail Bulgakov, the dark comedy stars Hamm as a doctor who regularly converses with his younger self, played by Radcliffe.

Hamm and Radcliffe make quite the pair in the trailer. Radcliffe shows off his impressive comedic chops as he bumbles his way through a delivery and the aforementioned tooth extraction. “I’m the doctor. I am the doctor,” he insists at one point. Meanwhile, Hamm is full of wry observations about his younger self’s haplessness.

A Young Doctor’s Notebook premieres Dec. 6 on Sky Arts 1 in the United Kingdom. The series has not yet been picked up by an American channel.
